Deciding to start a path in the beauty and barber industry is exciting, and we’re here to support you from the very beginning. Our goal is to make the process of enrolling in beauty college clear and empowering. We’ll make sure you have the information you need to make informed decisions about your future and start this journey with confidence. Here’s how our admissions process works:

1. Schedule a Visit: The first step in the process is to schedule a school tour. Touring our facility gives you an opportunity to experience the environment at Ea La Mar’s Cosmetology & Barber College firsthand, meet instructors and students, and see for yourself what it’s like to learn new skills here. During your visit, you have an opportunity to speak with our admissions director, who will explain your program options, answer questions, and help you understand enrollment requirements.

2. Attend an Interview: Next, you’ll complete an interview with a member of our admissions team. This interview helps us ensure that our program aligns with your career goals. It also gives us a chance to learn more about you. We want to learn about your goals for a future in beauty and make sure our school is the right place for you.

3. Submit Your Application: Once you are ready to apply, you’ll need to complete an admissions application and submit all the required documentation. You’ll also need to pay a $60 non-refundable application fee. Our team will carefully review your application to ensure everything is in order.

4. Await Confirmation: After you’ve submitted everything, our team will review it. If accepted, you will receive a confirmation of your enrollment, along with the next steps, including an orientation date and class schedule.

5. Start a Financial Plan: As you begin the enrollment process, it’s also a good time to start thinking about your financial plan for covering the costs of education. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. The best way to start exploring your options is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Schedule an appointment with our financial aid team to learn more.

Admissions Requirements

To enroll in Ea La Mar’s Cosmetology & Barber College, you must meet the following requirements:

You must be at least 17 years old
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED
Have a valid government-issued ID
Be able to read, write, and speak English (all programs are taught in English)
Students will also need to:
Submit two recent passport-sized photos
Attend a personal interview with a school staff member
Pay a non-refundable $60 application fee (cash, credit card, or check)

You may also need to pass a physical or submit to a criminal background check. Specific programs may have other requirements. The admissions team can provide you with a list of requirements for your chosen program and answer any questions you may have about the process.
