Students can complete the Barber Crossover Program in as little as a week and a half! The course includes 45 clock hours of instruction with two schedule options. You can attend full-time (38.5 hours per week) or part-time (28.5 hours per week). The schedule you choose will impact the time it takes to complete the program. Cosmetologists and barbers are licensed beauty professionals specializing in different aspects of hair and grooming services. Cosmetologists are trained in a broad range of services, including hair styling, coloring, chemical treatments, skincare, and nail care. Barbers focus on short haircuts, fades, shaving, and beard grooming. The Crossover Barber program is designed for licensed cosmetologists who want to expand their skill set and gain their barbering license.
While we cannot guarantee job placement, we work with students to help them find a role that suits their skill set. If you are a cosmetologist looking to transition into a barbershop environment, we can help you develop those foundational skills and then assist you in building a portfolio of work.
